Obituary. Mrs. William Heesch.
Mrs. William J. Heesch, 75 of Remsen, died Oct. 3, 1975, at her home after a long illness.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Christ Lutheran church. Rev. Ervin Rodehorst officiated. Burial was in the Remsen cemetery with the Moeller funeral home of Remsen in charge.
Mrs. Heesch, the former Florence Dawson, was born Aug. 15, 1900, in Henry township, Plymouth county. She was married Oct. 3, 1923.
Mr. and Mrs. Heesch farmed in the Remsen area for 37 years. In 1961, they retired and moved into Remsen.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Gloria) Nitzschke of Rock Rapids and Mrs. Arnold (Sharon) Maass of Remsen; two brothers, William of Marcus and Thomas of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Milton of Kingsley; and nine grandchildren. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Oct. 6, 1975, page 4.

Her marriage to William Heesch took place Oct. 3, 1923. They farmed south of town for many years before moving to the town of Remsen.
Surviving are her husband William; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Gloria) Nitzschke of Rock Rapids, Ia., and Mrs. Arnold (Sharon) Maass of Remsen; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Milton of Kingsley, Ia.; two brothers, William Dawson of Marcus, Ia. and Thomas Dawson of Sioux City, Ia. and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, one brother and a son, who died in infancy.
Pallbearers were James Nitzschke, Wayne Mahoney, Thomas Nitzschke, Vincent Milton, Kevin Nitzschke and Donald Dawson. The Moeller funeral home was in charge of arrangements. – Remsen Bell-Enterprise, page 1, column 1
