Karen Ruth Koehn, the daughter of Wade and Linda (Huffman) Kitterman was born on December 13,1937 at Wall, South Dakota. She moved to Clark with her family as a child and graduated from Clark High School. On July 25,1959 she married Arlan Koehn at Clark, SD. In 1963 the couple moved to Watertown. The couple lived in Brookings from 1990-1993 when they returned to Watertown. She had been a resident of a local nursing home the past three and one half years. Mrs. Koehn was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and had been active in Cursillo, T.E.C. and R.E.C. Programs, and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Karen R. Koehn passed away Tuesday, April 1,1997 at a Watertown, South Dakota nursing home at the age of 59 years, 3 months, and 19 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 infant children.
Survivors include her husband Arlan; her son, Mike of San Antonio, TX; 1 brother, Frank Kitterman and wife Pat; 1 brother-in-law, Jim Koehn; 4 sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Miller and husband Al, La Rayne Koehn; Alice Hoff and husband Bill, and Marge VanWell and husband Ray; her mother-in-law, Laura Koehn all of Watertown, SD; and 4 grandchildren, Michelle, Cammi, Steve, and Paul, all of San Antonio, TX.
