Donald loved his family more than anything. He loved to watch NASCAR races, ball games, and golf. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Cambridge City where he was active as youth leader and Sunday school teacher for many years. He was song leader and loved to sing. He also served as Deacon and Trustee.
He announced the Lincoln High School boys basketball games for many years.
Donald enjoyed going to high school basketball games and golfing.
He loved vacationing in the Great Smoky Mountains!
Donald worked for Dresser Roots in Connersville since 1973. He was a Service Manager for small rotary blowers in Houston. He had also worked in management and had built blowers for Dresser Roots in Connersville.
Donald is survived by his wife Sherry Sands Bunger, two sons Chad of Cambridge City and Jason of Cedarville, Ohio and one daughter, Lori of San Antonio, Texas; his mother, 3 brothers, Bill of Cambridge City, Frank of New Castle, and Willard of Richmond; 2 sisters, Candy of Centerville and Melody of Richmond; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur, and a nephew, Brent.
Calling was at the Waskom Capital Hill Chapel. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Mal Gibson officiating with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
