Thursday, May 03, 2007,Bernetta Boyce Fredericks, a resident of California since
1960 and Barstow since 1981, died April 25, 2007, at the age of 90. She was born
Oct. 8, 1916, in Wapakoneta, Ohio. She was a homemaker and seamstress who
loved camping out with her family well into her eighties. She enjoyed playing all
different kinds of cards and taking trips to Las Vegas, Reno and Laughlin. She was
preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband, Emmet Boyce;
second husband, Don Fredericks; son, Rex Boyce; and grandson, Scott Cox. She is
survived by her daughter, Kathleen and her husband, Norman Beard, of Goleta; son,
Dale Boyce and his wife, Mary, of Barstow; grandchildren, Lester Cox of Templeton,
Kristie Benko of Hansen, Idaho, Sue Zimmerman of Templeton, Janine Morse of
Ocala, Fla., and Heather Mendez of Valencia, Tanya Boyce and Tosha Delli Veneri
of Evansville, Ind.; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She
has gone to join the love of her life, Emmet Boyce. Services will be held Friday, May
4, 2007, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hill, 6300 Forest Lawn Dr., Los
Angeles, Calif. 90068. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to noon with a graveside final service.
