Almost twenty years ago I started working on the Hallenbeck-Hollenbeck line trying to find ancestors on my mothers side. I could see she was descended from the Hallenbecks in New York, and almost all Hallenbecks were descended from Casper Jacobse Hallenbeck who came to Albany in 1650. Since I could not find the ancestor I was looking for I decided to track the descendants of Casper Jacobse. By the time I found the ancestor I was looking for, I had a thousand descendants. I was so intrigued by this great family I have never stopped adding descendants to my computer. I know have almost 19,000 names.
My goal now is to track as many MALE lines as possible forward to living people.
