|This is a daguerreotype from the 1840-50's showing a small boy that has tragically been taken in the budding spring of his life.|
The father whispers scriptures from a bible as the sister and mother look on. The expression on their faces do not portray grief, but a sense of serenity that only their faith could console in this most tragic loss.
I found this in 1998, about 15 years ago and sold it to a friend that pleaded with me.
I only wish now that I had kept it. A year after my friend died I inquired about its location and no one in the family knew where it was so. His wife said it might have been sent to the dump like many of his papers.
It probably would have been lost to time had I not the good sense to save an image of it on a 3.5 disc (ancient computer file.) I captioned the disc, "Ham whispers," which I can't remember why. I guess we will never know who they were, but they will always reside at FIND A GRAVE.
