|Since the age of 4 I was always interested in the family genealogy, but|
getting information from my parents was
like pulling teeth. It didn't get any
better as I grew up, as an adult I only
knew 3 of my grandparents names. I only got to meet one grandmother, Annie Church, but I have very dim memories of
her since I was only 23 months old at the time. This left me with a great longing to know more about those who
proceeded me, where they came from, and what kind of lives they lived.
My husband on the other hand knew 45 of his direct ancestors because of the good record keeping of his grandmother, Tessie Buck.
Then one day out of the blue, I got a phone call from my long lost cousin, Harry Church. OH, what a fortunate day that was for me. I asked him if he knew
the maiden name of one grandmother (I would have been thrilled to know just one). To my great surprise, without skipping a beat, he told me all about the history of our ancestors, back to the Mayflower and beyond. Over 1000 years of family history!!!!
Thank you so very much Harry for making my life more complete.
