I know that a gravestone is often the only piece of physical evidence that our loved one has left behind and sometimes the only proof that a past relative ever existed. That is why I take pictures and add memorials to Find a Grave.
I take time and make a special effort to take the best looking picture of each grave as I can. I sometimes will add an obituary as well if I feel they may contain information of interest to the families and loved ones of the deceased person (citation is in caption of the obituary).
