Trying to find where my great great grandparents were from:
- John Cappell - born around June 13, 1839, 1849 or 1853, Canada (Eng), his father was from England & his mother was from Ireland, he migrated to the U.S. at some point, around 1879 may have officially or unofficially married Elizabeth "Eliza" Jane (Smith) Cappell - born October 14, 1861 in Bruce, Canada, her father was Thomas Smith from Yorkshire, England & her mother was Mary Jane (Beaton?) Smith from Canada. I have no info on John Cappell prior to 1880. John & Eliza Cappell lived in Bay City, Michigan from 1880 until their deaths. They had four sons: William Henry Cappell, John Thomas Cappell (my great grandfather), Edward Gilbert Cappell & Emerick Foster Cappell. They had one daughter Mary Ethel Capppell, she died as an infant (10 months).
