Ruth is a writer and retired health administrator. She received her PhD in Nutrition and Human Development from the University of CT and an MFA in Creative Writing from Bennington College. She is the author of "Those Who Remain: Remembrance and Reunion After War," a memoir about the death of her husband, Capt. David R. Crocker, Jr., in Vietnam in 1969 and the aftermath.
