Bio and Links
Bio Photo My father's Y-DNA and mtDNA have been on file at Family Tree DNA since 2004. For the last ten years I have mostly focused on the Y-DNA line. I am now interested in learning about his mtDNA line.

I have traced my father's maternal line back to Grace McConnell Longshore (1791 1857), daughter of William and Mary McConnell from Belfast, Northern Ireland. William and Mary McConnell are buried in Newberry County, South Carolina. It would be nice to be able to get mtDNA confirmation of this.

Thanks for the info - I have added to her bio. No, I don't have any more information on her; and right now I can't remember where I got the info for the memorial. One of my cousins married into the Mote family; so that's how I came to manage some of the Mote memorials in this cemetery. Robert Virgil Mote and my uncle, Gus Byrd, Jr. were in WW II together; captured in the Philippines and spent time together in a Japanese prison camp. Jr died and Virgil lived to come home. I remember him fondly.

That response sums up exactly why I do this! The first time I found a previously unknown ggrandmother, I was hooked on Find A Grave.

RE: David Kesler & Elizabeth Kesler Crump
Are you somehow related to the Kesler? David was my great-great-grandfather.

I don't have a clue as to why Barbary's memorial link does not work, but we are taking care of it. Thanks for letting me know.

You sent an edit for Elizabeth Ann as her middle name. Could Nettie be a nickname? Do you know her maiden name?

David Kesler & Elizabeth Kesler Crump
The parents of these two were William Kesler and Barbary Cromer. You sent me an edit as "unknown". Where are you getting that information?

RE: The Holly Carter Cemetery in Oglethorpe County, Georgia
Hi. I created Sarah Ann Carter's info because of the information given to me by someone who had visited the cemetery. Seems someone named Delinda added the photo. I have no problem transferring management of Sarah Ann Carter Kidd to you. The Tuckers, Gilmers and Carters were the names I was interested in. However, I doubt I will want to do anything more with Sarah Ann's record. I have made the transfer to you. Hope this helps. Let me know.
