I am a descendent of Pvt. Gideon Kennedy who served with the 19th Indiana Volunteer Regiment from July 1861 until July 1865. He is buried in the Lakeview Cemetery in Barry Co. Michigan near Nashville, MI. I visited his gravesite in Oct., 2007 with my wife and we located his gravemarker. I planted two small U.S. flags and we took a number of pictures. To honor his service to his country, I had photos of him as an old man with his second wife Esther, along with his obituary and a couple of other documents posted to the website.
