picture for Willis Simmons
Hi! I am probably a cousin of one of your cousins! I've been working on a family tree that has a lot of people buried in Tangipahoa Parish, LA. I came across the picture of Willis's marker and it was posted by someone with the username Patmorgan87. Don't know if you know her. Anyway, I hope the marker isn't really just in the woods somewhere.

Info needed for Jacques Cantrelle
According to the church records, Jacques is buried under the altar. If I am not mistaken, this is the 3rd church to be built in this area. There is a somewhat small burial ground next to the levee, but, the river took most of the older stones. There is also a cemetery behind the church with newer burials. Finding any of the older graves is somewhat of a miracle, especially with a stone that is anywhere near readable.

Info needed for Jacques Cantrelle
Hi! I will be making a trip to this cemetery in the coming week to take photos. I see it says Jacques was buried under the altar in the original church. Any idea how I am going to find him?? I see there is a Catholic Church right across the street but I take it this is not the original.

RE: Re: Henrietta Cantrelle Ray, Roselawn, Baton Rouge, LA
You are welcome. Glad I could help. If we are related, it is distantly. I have not had too much work with this family line. I just know that in Roselawn, plots are usually sold in sets of 6, sometimes more, sometimes less. I think I saw where Marguerite was a friend of the family and probably is not related.

In the same plot are

Marguerite E Dillard 1892-1957
Ray Wilson Price 1916-1995
Thelma Ray Price 1915-2000
Henrietta Cantrelle Ray 1880-1950
Kim Marie Yaun 1958-1958

Don't know if and/or how related. Looks as though there are 2 memorials listed for almost all of these people. Should you need better, clearer photos, please do not hesitate.
