Criddle's were friends of my ancestors! Thank you so much for your wonderful e-mail - I am just having my 2nd coffee but will start hunting later this morning. I can't thank you enough for your e-mail - I am nearing the end of an awesome book which has kept me mesmerized for 3 days now - and so now I have something to keep me occupied - I love the hunt - I know the Criddle's have their own cemetery - but I must do some hunting for the others - thank you so much - I am now ready to face the day! Retirement is wonderful - but it does get boring - we are finally having nice weather and I am planning on heading up to our local cemetery again to get more headstone photos - sadly, so many of the old ones are gone - weather does that and they fall over - in the Brandon Cemetery - records prior to 1906 are bad - the only way the cemetery knows if someone is there is by headstones - but, this is what I love to do - my great-grandfather also worked for the railroad - he started out in Quebec and ended up here in Brandon. My great-grandmother's brother worked for the railroad and he was killed in New Westminster, BC in a tragic accident - when I went hunting for him - I hit the mother lode - I found his parents buried with him - I was so excited due to the fact that I had lost them in Quebec - and hunted for years - then there they were in New West - one of my most exciting finds. Now off to hunt - and I must check google to see where you are located in Ontario. I'll get back to you after I start the hunt. Cheers! Janet
