Bio and Links
Bio Photo When I was young, my father always spoke of the family history. Later on he showed me a book written with information from the 1700's. Then he started a tree with more updated information. His tree and stories fascinated me. Since he has been gone I have been working on a family tree with a cousin (who just died July 2015). I will keep going as much as I can. I need to get out to the local cemetery to complete helping people. This is what I want to do and be good at it.

Deborah, it makes me so happy when I can provide information that helps someone else. I love Berkeley history and I have a particular interest in the people who lived here in the early 20th century. Your great-grandmother's funeral was conducted at the Little Chapel of the Flowers. If you're curious, you can see it here: http://berkeleyheritage.com/essays/ashby_station_historic2.html

Kind regards,
Dusty Poss

RE: The Robinson's
Call the cemetery office and ask. Lodi Memorial Cemetery (209) 333-7171 and Cherokee Memorial Park (209) 367-3082. It would be nice if you could just look up on their websites who is buried there and where and then look up on the plot plan where the location is, but they don't make that possible, the way Sacramento City Cemetery does. I found my G. G. Aunt's and Uncle's plot there that way and it was the easiest plot I've ever found.

RE: The Robinson's
I was honored to do it. And thanks for the tip about where to look. You made it so much easier to find them. This cemetery's previous owner had a 'unique' record keeping system. Sometimes even the current owner's office staff throw up their hands in despair.

Debora,

I already added the photos of the different sides of the monument to their memorials. Do you want the "place markers" added too? They are just initials and are hard to read because of the lichen. I could get the lichen off the brown monument but not the marble markers. You should be able to see some of them near the monument in the longer-range photos.

I do not know why the claim won't take; maybe it is the phone. I do it all on my computer and it works fine that way.

You're welcome! On the same monument are: Annette M. Attwood, Edward P. Attwood, Esther Attwood, Harriet L. Attwood, and Sarah Antoinette wife of Julius Attwood. I assume they are all family. I also have photos of their individual marble markers.
