RE: Greenwood surname
Just saw your message. So far no link to any Hamlin/Hamblin line south of the Mason Dixon.

One never knows where the genealogical road will takes us, but, best I know -so far- I have no link to Southern Hamblins.

RE: Decker
Thank you for letting me know. It will probably be late November or December before I can get to Florida as we have guest and are traveling. If you have photos of the people, why don't you add them to your memorials? To me, that makes the memorials that more personable.

RE: surname Decker
Patrica, the next time I'm at Florida Chapel I will look for Deckers. I have put August as that is where his DC says he is buried. I have spent a lot of time there taking photos but do not believe that the Cemetery is complete. I have found most of Henry and Anna Neumann Deckers children's burial places thinking that might be a clue. I have done a great deal of work in the Fayette County Cemeteries including the City and Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville. There are not many Decker graves in Fayette County. Sorry I could not be of more help.

schobey family
Hello: My grandfather was Enoch Schobey of Gozales, tx. His father was William J and his uncle was James K Schobey, his grandfather was George. I have been researching the family and cannot find much on Wm j, last census I saw him in was 1900 in Bastrop County, Tx. Can't find a burial site for him or his father George W. I saw in a Feb 9, 1876 historical newspaper, the Galveston Daily News that a G.W. Schobey of Bastrop Cty was murdered. George burial place unknown. thanks Minnie Wright Schreck

RE: Varner surname

Hello, My husband, Kenneth Varner passed away in November 2015. I have looked in his genealogical collection and found 2 Ransom Varners - Father & son. Father b 1786 m: Hannah & Ransom Varner b. ? 1825 Rowan Co., NC which changed to Davidson Co. in 1828 (I think that is what the note says)! This Ransom m: 10 Aug 1848 Davidson Co., NC - Susan Seachrist. He lists 5 children: Andrew Linzey Varner 1849, Thomas J.-1850, Elizabeth L. -1852, James Madison-1854 & Mary Ann Varner 1854, all born in Davidson Co. He references the 1860 & 1870 Davidson Co. Census and the marriage records of Davidson Co., NC. That is all he really knows about the family. He apparently did not research further. Some of the Varner's have been sending their info to Dean Varner at He might have more information for you. Sorry, I don't have more. Bobbye Varner

RE: Visigar (Joseph A )
Only other thing I can think of is to call the main office at Resurrection Cemetery (314) 352-5300.
