Bio and Links
Bio Photo Genealogy research is similar to doing a jigsaw puzzle: the more pieces you place, the easier the rest of the pieces are to fit.

That's where the similarity ends, however. Unlike a jigsaw puzzle, a genealogical puzzle NEVER ENDS! Ultimately, genealogists discover that we are all related to everyone else.

I'm primarily a historian, so for me, the dates and relationships are secondary to the stories. I've discovered so many of them in my research and hope to share some of them here.

Some of the family names in 'my' tree:

Like most American families, mine was a migrant bunch so their descendants are located all over the country. During different periods of time, they congregated in various places, but eventually 'wanderlust' drove the younger generations to move on.

Roy J Webster of Northfield
Good morning.

Thanks for asking. I estimated birth year from obit, both La Crosse Tribune and Winona News obits for June 27, 2007 both list his age as 90. Technically, he probably could be born in 1917 or 1916 depending what month his birth. I could not find his birth record. I figured an educated guess might help family find him and they can correct it with exact info. Sincerely, Cyndi

Roy Joe Webster

BLAIR, Wis. - Roy Joe Webster, 90, of Blair died Monday, June 18, 2007, in Grand View Care Center in Blair. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Jack Funeral Home, Blair. Burial will be in Northfield Lutheran Cemetery, Northfield, Wis. Friends may call one hour prior to services.

I made the requested changes. But do you know who his father is? I tried to talk to William Jr. a few years ago but he told me he was to busy to talk about his family genealogy, so I haven't tried to talk to him since. William Sr. was married to my mom's sister Maria Francis Katherine (Baxter).

Sanford Shoultz
I made the correction and addition for Sanford that you sent. I see 'Shoultz' in your list of family names. I am not related to any of the six Shoultz's that I have added. If you want any or all of them transferred to you, just let me know and I'll be glad to.

Donald C. Flock memorial 45261208
This past summer I spent several days photographing tombstones in the Pine Hollow Cemetery. There I photographed the tombstone for Donald C. Flock. There was no memorial, so I created one. I also found his obituary online, so I thought I would link him to his parents. That's when I found a memorial to Donald that you had created in the Sacred Heart cemetery.

The obituary states "Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church in Cashton, WI. Father Michael Klos will officiate. Burial will follow at a later date." Services were held at Sacred Heart, but he was not buried in their cemetery.

There are now two memorials for Donald, one in Sacred Heart and one in Pine Hollow (Saints Peter and Paul). The Saint Peter and Paul church was torn down when the Sacred Heart church was built, much to the chagrin of the local parishioners.

Your memorial should be deleted. If you want to create a memorial in the Saints Peter and Paul cemetery, I would be willing to delete mine. I don't care. Duplication bothers me.

Lemuel Mosher & Ruth Wiltsie
Hi, my name is Jeff Miller. You sent me a message about the family of Ruth Wiltse naming her father and 2 brothers. I have the following information:
daughter of Jeremiah Wiltse(1718-1792) and Mary Cornell (1721-1755). Mary Cornell's mother was a Wiltse.

They had the following children:
Thomas b. 9 Nov 1745
Cornelius b. 13 Nov 1746
John b. 31 Mar 1748
Hannah b. 14 Feb. 1750
William b. 11 July 1751
Ruth b. 9 July 1753
Elizabeth b. 14 Mar 1755

Lemuel and Ruth are my ancestors. You mentioned that Ruth's father is mentioned in the depositions Lemuel and Ruth gave regarding the theft of Ruth's brother's animals. I have those deposition and they do not mention Ruth's father. Maybe other documents regarding Thomas Wiltse's claim names other Wiltse family members. They ould be nice to see but I haven't seen them.

How are you related?
