|Bio and Links|
I have used Find A Grave as a tool for a few years now, but only recently created an account so I may not be 100% with the rules and etiquette of the site. If I do request a transfer, I am asking because I have already researched the family member. I plan to update with information I have; I will of course provide the information if you want to maintain the account. I may not be able to update all bios as quickly as I would like, but that is only because I want to do a good accurate bio. I especially offer when I see thousands of accounts for one person to manage. I offer so that I can assist you and in no way mean offense. |
I am a middle age mom, going back to school, and in my free time I love to do family research. I am currently working on managing as many of my family member's sites as I can, or at least contributing what I can. I feel it is so important to get accurate data on our past documented, correctly. I would like to help others, if I can but only find myself to be a competent hobbyist. Currently I am working on the Riggs/ Hamlin Family that settled in Dunklin, MO, and the Church/ Timmons Family in Michigan. Thank you all for your efforts in documenting history.
~Family is my past, present, and future.

I noticed that for Andrew Riggs, birth 1889, that he has two different sets of parents mentioned in the biographical info. According to the 1900 Arkansas census, a James M. Riggs, born Oct. 1854 had a son, Andrew, born Dec. 1889 in Texas. Who are James R. and Louisa Anglea Riggs? There is a Louisia, a sister to Andrew, born June 1896. Could you tell me where this info. for Andrew came from? Henry L. is my sister's grandfather.

We did a digital survey---no other info. That is such a rural area. Not certain who to refer you to. May want to check out Texas Genweb for Grayson County.

No problem, always glad to transfer when I don't have any relative connections.
I only happened to take a photo of her gravestone. What was Mayo's story? Is it online somewhere?

Happy to transfer the Hamlins in Liberty Cemetery. I photographed all the legible markers last September. If you would put in a photo request, I will search my photo files and post what I can. Some were so badly eroded, I could not read the inscription which is so sad. I have many relatives in Liberty and in Kennett. I hope to return some time this summer for further research. The Dunklin County Library has some cemetery listings and there are some knowledgable volunteers that donate their time in the library. Best wishes.
Thanks for the correction on this. Before correcting, I noticed there was a memorial under the correct spelling, I just deleted mine and added the photo to the other. Thanks so much. It takes a village... :)
