Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a recently retired Crime Scene Detective who lives in the northwestern part of Connecticut. I enjoy photography and genealogy. I enjoy walking in the cemetery and reading the headstones that tell the story of these special lives once lived. I hope the photo's help to memorialize their history. I see so many headstones (1700's and early 1800's) that are "disappearing" with the weather elements. I sincerely hope this website and these photographs will keep the headstone from vanishing forever.

Pioneer Cemetery
Hello,

You indicated that when you walked the Plymouth Burying Ground in Plymouth, CT that many of the headstones were illegible. Any idea if you saw Atkins stones or are able to check in the cemetery office? Any help or leads would be fantastic.

Thanks

RE: John Dunbar grave
Aaron was the son of John Dunbar and his wife Temperance Hall. Hall Dunbar was Aaron's son. They are related. Aaron would be my 6th great uncle. John was my 7th great grandfather. I will send you my email address, and thank you very much!

John Dunbar grave
Thank you so much for trying to find John's grave. I was afraid his stone would be illegible or gone. So many of the old stones are. I would be interested to know of any Dunbar stones you found as they may be related. John was my ancestor. I truly appreciate your effort even if it was unsuccessful. Linda
