RE: Incorrect cemetery listing
I understand your messages and I am receiving them. Both of the individuals are listed in the Colemans cemetery book of Toombs county and I am trying to see why they are listed in this record book. As soon as I get an answer, I will put both of the individuals in the correct place. I get over a hundred messages/day, so there is a slight delay in my responses.

Thank you.

Mamie George
Got your note. If you can send me your e-mail address (my e-mail address is on my page. you can just e-mail me, instead of posting it publicly, if you want), then I can e-mail you Mamie George's obituary, if you want it. It doesn't say a whole lot other than she had a son (Butler Covar), a daughter (Mrs. Glover Lowe, who I'm guessing is also the Myra Bell Mims in Butler's obituary), and a step-son (Colie George). There was another notice posted the next day, but it really just confirmed where she was buried. I can pull that one if you want it.

I don't have Colie's obituary. I'll have to get that one from the library -- they only have up to a certain date online. That'll be next week before I can do that, though.

Census records say her husband was John L. George, and the one in the George Cemetery in Lexington County seems to be the best match for him, but I can't say for certain. I'll see what else I can find out.

Byrd Tombstones
Thank you so much for volunteering to take the photos of the Julian Byrd family tombstones. They are distant cousins and we are very appreciative of your efforts. The pictures are a wonderful addition to our records. Happy holidays!

RE: duplicate cemeteries
After looking this over I realized there are still some duplicates. I will be going back over the entries and deleting mine.
