RE: Guenther
my email is mmg816@yahoo.com

The only thing I can say for sure is that there are two Guenther families that settled in Atlantic County. Everyone in my family is descended from Michael A Guenther who to came to Pomona in 1876. Everyone in the other family, the Pleasantville family, is descended from Augustus Guenther who arrived in the area around 1860 or so.
It's possible that Michael and Augustus do have a common ancestor dating back to 1600s and that Augustus knew Michael's parents or grandparents in Germany before he left but it's too complicated to explain here. Email me

RE: Guenther
hi Wayne, I have a cousin Wayne but he lives in Cape Cod I think. My great grandfather came to Pomona 140 years ago. My family owned the appliance store. I'm assuming you're part of the other Guenther family that was already in the area then and eventually owned the garage in Pleasantville. I'm friends on facebook with a couple of people from that family.
It's still a open question to me if our families were related in Germany or not. Someday we'll have to do DNA testing to find out for sure. What can I do for you? Mike

Emery/Emory Purzner
I think we had this discussion before.

I have an obit for Emory Purzner, "three year old twin daughter of Mr. & Mrs J.L. Purzner was last week stricken with diptheria, and died Monday" in a 29MAR1917. Your information is that Emery is the brother of Ted Purzner. Which is correct??? The contemporary newspaper or your source??

Dreyer/Rann
Found the wedding announcement of Esther and George E Dreyer in The NEWS (#41 28DEC1918) at the home of her parents. No date of the wedding reported. The ceremony was performed by Rev. F.W. Wantzel of the Moravian Church. Esther's sister Marie was the bridesmaid and her brother William was the best man.

Margaretha Fink
Margaretha's death certificate clearly states her year of birth as 1823.

RE: Germania
Forgot you have some of the cemetery records.

So many people take the age and subtract from the year of death as gospel. They forget the overlap that could also put the year as 1878 and a small window into 1880.

Duplicate memorials
Sorry to have to tell you this, but you are making duplicate memorials for people that have memorials already. If you would check the proper spelling of the last names , you will see it.
