Bio

My Aunt Gertrude Rebecca Roberson, was our family historian. I spent a great deal of time with her as a child, listening to the family stories and looking at the family pictures, they go all the way back to the 1800s. Aunt Gert is gone but has left me with not only a driving need to continue in her footsteps, but also the family pictures. ( They mean more to me than gold.) I joined ancestry.com, and while I was searching for info on my great, great grandfather, Joseph B. Stratton, I was sent to the find a grave site. Wow! After hearing the names of my ancestors for so many years seeing their names carved in stone made them feel so real. Now, I would love to spread that feeling and will visit nearby cemeteries for many years to come. This has got to be one of the best ideas ever.
