Bio and Links
I am a new member as of November 18, 2013. I plan to start adding some of my family members' grave photos in the near future. I am especially interested in locating graves of, or acquiring photos of the graves of, troopers who served with the 106th Calvary Group, either the 121st Reconnaissance Squadron or the 106th Reconnaissance Squadron. I have taken many photos of graves of troopers at American cemeteries in France. And, I have the Individual Deceased Personnel Files for many troopers killed in Europe and the location of their burial in the USA or in Europe.
My family, genealogical interests, include, but are not limited to, Teske, Pohl, Lundmark (Chicago/Sweden, Heese (Chicago/Germany, Burns, Bennett, and Bridges. Mulsow, Glockzin. Bernd.

Robert Laird Burns
Mr. Teske,

I have reason to believe that my great grandfather, Charles George Burns b. 1845 in Alabama d 1899 in Grayson Co. TX is the son to Equilla Burns. Do you know anything about this? I know that my maternal grandmother, Mary Burns Chapman (youngest daughter to Charles George Burns) used to correspond with some ladies who lived in Crowell Texas that were descended from James Wesley Hays and his wife Martha Jane Burns Hays. My grandmother had a picture of their youngest child Bernice "Bernie" Hays Reynolds which said.
"This is Bernie Reynolds and her son Bill. She was a niece to my Dad, Charles George Burns. Her Mother, Martha Burns Hays being my Dad's sister- by Mary Burns Chapman"

Regards,
Dorothy Hays Newberry (the Hays is just a fluke, my dad was a Hays, but I am connected to the Burns thru my Mother's mother, Mary Burns Chapman.

RE: 106th
Ray,, just catching up on some of the work here.. Quite frankly,, i needed a break.. I want to know I appreciate your work,, your stories.. In fact,, I enjoy this kind of stuff very much..

I am not connected to PFC Ralph Barone however I follow 3 cemeteries in France.. Used to travel there for work,, 2 times a year and made St. Mihiel, Normandy, St. Avold.

I have photographed every stone in Sections D at all three Cemeteries,, I have every panel,,MIA,, vey nice,, you may have seen a few posted.. If any of these are useful to you... feel free to ask..

When I was looking at these daily,, I was going through the requests list,, updating info, posting unit emblems,,, etc.. Nothing like a list with all the locations for a volunteer looking to add a few nice shots during a visit,,

Been sort of lazy as of late doing this,, just saw one with a Section D at Lorraine,, now wondering how many others there are.. Suppose I need to start packing the drive around again..

To date, I have shot 30K pictures throughout the US and abroad.. seeing quite a number being used on Ancestry.. with no ack.. ah,, at least the Vet has a nice shot.. lol..

If you would like to correspond,, I would like to hear some of those tapes.. hopefully you have them digitized... That would be so cool for me..

If you like,, send your email via one of my memorial so its not out in the open.. Cheers,

Mike

RE: Lorraine duplicate
What would happen if everyone who had a bit of information or a photo created their very own memorial? Mass Chaos! Each memorial has an edit tab and information can be added by using that tab. I do not have control over the 36 you want. Always search for the name and make sure you spell it correctly!!

Lorraine duplicate
Raymond -- please search before adding new entries to Lorraine to avoid duplicate or triplicates. And, please spell the names correctly. If you have a photo to add, please look for an existing memorial before making a new memorial just to add the photo. Lorraine is almost 100% added already. Please search first. Thanks -- kateb

Christine Lundmark's memorial page
Hi, Raymond -
Just finished transferring her page to you. I was searching for my ancestor's gravestone and when I didn't find it, I just started shooting photos. I think that, like yours were, my ancestor's gravestones have sunk beneath the surface.
Not sure what to do about the inactive member. I think if you go into the information pages for the website, you will probably find a way to request it from the site administration. Sometimes if you request edits (like creating a link from him to her), it will trigger a review and they may just transfer it.
Good luck!

Burns and Book memorials
I entered the information you put in your message onto the memorial for Robert Laird Burns. I also did some looking at census documents for the Robert Burns family in order to give the bio a little bit of a story flow. I linked the family members you noted and lastly, I transferred those four to you so you can add to the bios and other information as you research your family. I hope this was helpful and the latter action was what you wanted to happen. You can always transfer them back if you didn't intend to take on that responsibility. *smile*

Take care,
Cindi

Burns
I'd be happy to add any info you want to share to the memorials I've added. I am not family, just someone who tramped through the cemetery one day and took pictures so alternatively, I'd be happy to transfer your family memorials to you so you could put the info directly on them. Let me know if you'd like me to do that.

The information on the memorials came from two possible sources. Either someone sent me edits to add the relationships or I noticed folks with the same last name and did a quick search of census documents and the like to see if they were related. I'm not sure which was the case for Robert Burns or if it was a combo of the two approaches; Anyway, just let me know if you want the transfers made or feel free to send the info if you'd rather update them that way.
