Bio and Links
If you are in any way related to the Sur name Vrchota or any variation of it feel free to contact me. I have around 3000 family members identified from 3 major branches of the Vrchota name. They all cone from Jihocesky (South Bohemia), Czech. From the Tabor and Trebon Districts.

I finally found were my great grandfather was born and I didn't find it online. It was in a book but it has not linked my family and all the other Vrchota's or Verchota's in this country. Now that I have found my great great grandfather Jan Vrchota born about 1754 I am still looking for a link. The records for the village he was born in do not go back any farther. I would like to thank every one that has taken the time to explore and build Find A Grave. This is one site that should never die.

Ramus Rasmussen
Hi Michael,
Are you a family member of Rasmus? I noticed that in the CA. Death Index, there are two men with that same name, both born in the same year and died in the same year.
One was born in Michigan and died in San Francisco.
The other was born outside the U.S. and died in L. A.
-What makes you think it's the one who died in San Francisco?

Vrchota stone at Resurrection
The stone was practically buried and thus it took a while to find it. I tried making as much of the stone as visible as possible. If you'd like me to return to take a better photo, please call the cemetery office and have them reset the stone (this is free of charge).

RE: Katherine Wenner
You are welcome! It is so hard to get a good picture of that stone. The letters just don't show up very well! Hope it was helpful!

I believe the date on the gravestone is inaccurate. The cemetery records agree with your death date in the year 1938.

RE: Photo request
Thank you very, very much. I believe you did thank me for this already but even though I love helping when possible, it definitely is nice when people take the time say thank you. :)

RE: Photo request
That is a nice wedding photo. But I'm not related; I just live in the area. Glad to help.

RE: Frank and Winifred Svoboda
You are very welcome. I live pretty close to the cemetery so I will keep the names in mind for the next time I go. :)

We Are Family
RE: George Langer
We have not found any records of marriage. City directories make it appear he lived with his mother most of his life. We will do some more research. It is possible he had a son.

George Langer
Do you have any idea where George Langer is buried? He is the son of Karolina Rerucha-Langer
Thank you
