Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am honored to be a member of this great community. My hope is that the memorials that I maintain will inspire a sense of pride in those who have gone before us. I would like for everyone who is remembered here to be accurately portrayed for posterity to understand who they were.

If you have information, documents or photos that would help to shed further light on the individuals memorialized here, I would love to hear from you. Likewise, if you have questions about the information I have provided, I will be delighted to answer them for you.

If I manage a memorial that is your direct ancestor and not mine, I will be happy to transfer management of their memorial(s) to your care.

RE: Winfield Scott Provo
Sure. Let me know if there are other people you think might be mentioned in the Emporia paper and I will see if I can find anything.

Maria was sister of my great grandfather Ole O. I have worked on the history as well. This is interesting article. Thanks for doing this. I have some unknown pictures left from my grandpa Chris. He left Waseca to ND when he was a young man. My father Ole E. told us as much as he could and was very interested in his family history. thanks again!

Thanks for the info and Help-I will look up the sparks info-I was also given some info a few years back on family of king david family-and I had a lot already-I maybe able to help you farther-also--but back to the newspaper-Boone republican news-the only way you can see it online is through google-digitalized boone iowa advantage preservation-you wont be able to copy it-if you figure that one out let me know-but it is dated Oct 2, 1878 page 3 and it is on the Lef side of the paper--The funeral sermon of Rev wm J. Sparks will be preached by Rev A.E. Simons in the Bapist chapel Boone sabath evening Oct 6,1878 Do you by chance have a pic of King David and his wife? I may ask more questions after I look at the info you gave me-Roxanne

Are you related through this person? Nice picture-While looking through the Boone Iowa paper dated Oct 2, 1878 I found this-The funeral sermon of Rev. Wm J. Sparks will be preached by Rev A.E. Simons in the Bapist chapel Boone Sabath evening Oct 6,1878---However this does not match up with info I found in the boone iowa historical society with sparks cementary info-there it lists his death at jun 28,1878--I also know david and Elizabeth Sparks had a son WIlliam J. Sparks also-can u help me out?

I agree that sometimes the dates on stones are incorrect. But generally speaking, the difference will be in the birth date. Death dates are generally correct. I am glad I could help.

You might want to check the birth and death dates on the stone. They don't match what you have.
