******Taking a break for a while, please be patient with edits. See my son's memorial Find A Grave Memorial# 175653541 Thanks, Fred******

Hi All,

I have been interested in this stuff for many decades, since my first job as a kid taking care of a local cemetery, where dozens of my mom's relatives are buried. Occasionally I will inadvertently create duplicates, if you notice any please let me know and I will delete them. I am happy to transfer memorials, just let me know what your interest is. I will try to make any other edits quickly. It is easier if you use the edit tab, but I will try to work with your info however you send it.
Thanks!
Fred

PS You are welcome to use my photos however you like.

RE: FAG # 79316202 - Joseph Sturges
Hello Fred;
Thanks for replying, I will attempt to change the dob to see if it goes thru. Just wanted to be sure my info was correct before attempting to edit.

Not a good day/week for son or anyone to be in my area; tooo darned hot! Triple digits for over a week; more unusual weather for this part of CA. More like SoCal where I used to live. But hope he enjoys it anyway.

FAG # 79316202 - Joseph Sturges
I have a question that I have often when someone takes photos of tombstones not really legible to the rest of us one uploaded to Find A Grave. My question is about the photo you took of Joseph Sturges stone. In trying to read the age at death, I cannot see what it is and wonder if by chance you made a note of it? During my, Sturges research, I found a different year of birth [1789]; not based on his dod but from the Sturges family history book. I do not know if you or butterfly~kisses keyed in the data (he never replies to any of my messages or even the additions/corrections I do, so I have to try to get in the "back door" to have them show up on the memorials).
Appreciate all that you cemetery walkers do to help the rest of us do what we can do to follow up. Many thanks!

Paul Mapes DNA match
That is fabulous news!!! How do you handle that in your family tree, i.e., just a notation about the adoption and DNA? Are you on Ancestry.com?

RE: Foltmans in Lakeside
Hi Fred -

Thank you for transferring Bob and Marion Foltman's memorials. I know some of the details and will be updating their information over the summer. I will let you know if I have any questions.

Thanks again!

RE: Verna Reed
I would have deleted my memorial if you had wanted to move your memorial to St. James.

Sometimes the death certificates are not always correct which I have found or as I said, she may have been moved from Hays and re-interred in St. James.

I also found out the George Reed's first wife, Ida May Snyder is a first cousin, 3X removed of my husband. Her mother was a sister to my husband's 2X great grandmother. I have linked her to her parents.

RE: Fred and Elizabeth LaDue
Hi Fred, just read your message yesterday. I don't know what edit I suggested. Yes, I know they were married. Only thing I can think of was that I suggested you take out Bessie's married name? I have no clue what else I would have suggested?
Fred was my 2nd great uncle. Elmer LaDue was my grandfather. How about you? How are you related to the LaDues?
thanks, Tracey

RE: Mable Chapell Peters
I put the obituary for William Chapell on my profile page for him. It's a possibility it may be available now, or I can send it to you if you like. It went into gory details of his injuries, yes, of being gored by a bull. I am a McConnell / Johnson of Bergen & Riga descendant, but more details than that would need to be by private email..... Stay warm!
