I live in Maine. Grew up on the family farm in Westbrook, Maine. Smiling Hill Farm has been in the Knight Family since 1744. |
I recently took over the genealogy torch from my Aunt Frances (Knight) Marsh. I am planning a family reunion on the farm the summer of 2017. Looking for any descendants of George Knight 1641-1671 Thank you

I would be more than happy, eager actually, to transfer any/all the Knight memorials that I created in the Lakeview Cemetery in Wilton. I'm just trying photograph the entire cemetery (looking for my own ancestors and filling photo requests as I go)and cannot believe how many memorials I've had to add!

Hannah R Knight
BIRTH 1837 • Poland, Androscoggin, Maine, USA
DEATH 18 JUL 1871 • Portland, Cumberland, Maine, USA
I see you maintain Hannah's memorial 118621240.
I was wondering how you were related to my second great aunt. Her father Moody Knight is my second great grandfather.

Hello, I have removed Ida M from William J. Apparently the wrong Ida for him. Do you want to manage William's memorial?

I was wondering if you were willing to transfer three children of my grandfather's brother's children to me.
My number is 47447008
If you can't I fully understand.

In your edit request you removed the period after the middle initial. FINDAGRAVE rules state to use a period
Memorial Naming Conventions: Non-famous Memorials
Use a period after names where only an initial is known. If the full name is known, use the full name and not the initial.

Thank you for your edit for Frank Knight. I am happy to transfer memorials to those close to the deceased. If you would like to manage Frank Knight's memorial, just let me know.

I added Susie Puffer's second husband. There are no children attached to his memorial so I am not sure who they are. If you have that info, please send it to me or add them directly to Susie's memorial as you find them. Thanks for the updates.

|Debi C||Nellie Knight Farnum|
I have an edit request from you to link Nellie Knight to parents Stephen Decatur Knight and Elizabeth Estes Hall.
Before I do so, would you know why Nellie & Charles' marriage record says that Nellie's father was Augustus Knight?

|Debi C||Harriet F Knight|
You sent me an edit request to link Harriet F. Knight Allen to parents Moses Knight and Leonie Pride.
Could I ask for some source documentation on that? I usually try both Ancestry.com and FamilySearh.org and could find no documentation. And, with both parents quite a bit older than usual, I thought it would be wise to double check before creating a new "fact" that other researchers will rely upon.
Thanks so much!

|amyinleeds||Susanna Kent at Strickland|
Hi again. Susanna's parents were originally from Falmouth, moving to Wayne, Maine, time frame believed to be early 1800s, according to the Wayne town history. There is a Wayne deed for Amos Kent III in 1810, not sure if he is the same one. Familysearch has a BR for Susanna on the date you provided, but for Wayne, Maine. It seems likely her birth was just registered there... in our early town records (Leeds), many listings of children were added all at the same time (not at the time of each birth), and so may not have all been born here. There is a published Kent genealogy which says she was born in Falmouth.
So I guess I will approve Westbrook, but add a note about other possible birth locations.
Interesting project you have with Knights. Was I correct in guessing that the parents of Charles Knight may have been closely related?
