Well, here is what I can tell you now. I did a little research on the net today and did find Katherine's death card 1804-1880.
I found that her parents are buried in Burke Meeting House Cemetery along with her brother Benjamin and his wife Anna.
In the 1870 census Katherine is living with her nephew William (s/o Benjamin and Anna).
I then looked through my photos for Woodmont and saw the "Katie Belden 1804-1880" stone. The Catherine B. Root memorial w/ photo request does not have a dob or dod. Is it possible that this is indeed the Katherine both you and Bob Cates are looking for? If you look at Memorial# 32194718 you will see the photos that I added for her. The stone does not look like it is original, and there are large gaps on either side of her stone. So I do not know if maybe Roswell was once there and stone is gone.
The Roots that are listed there with my photos are the only surname Roots that I have come across, and all stones in the plot were photographed.
I have also been looking through my records for any other Root stones, but I don't hold out much hope. Bob Cates had contacted me awhile back looking for Roswell and his wife also.
I will keep looking!
