My basic interest is in searching for my family tree in Cook Co. and in Southern Illinois during the 1800's; Nashville (Nashboro)Tennessee in the 1780's to the mid 1800's and Augusta Co, Virginia in the early 1700s to the 1820's.

Joseph Nowak #141742061
Hello Carolyn, You have a memorial for a Joseph Nowak in Saint Adalbert Catholic Church Cemetery. I'm wondering if this might be the same person as I have as #156642862. My Joseph had 2 daughters from Chicago who both listed a Joseph Nowak as their father on vital records such as death certificates. The older daughter, Kate #102691836, had 1st husband Kostanti Lasecki #156682615 buried in Saint Adalbert Catholic Cemetery, too, before moving west to WA State where her sister Mary #10691008 had moved after marrying a Ted Zoch from Chicago. Do you have anything from an obituary or other record that might list your Joseph Nowak's surviving family members? Thank you for any help and thank you for your support of Find-A-Grave.

St Joseph-Izban graves
Hi Carolyn-As I was walking back from taking the pictures for Michael and Gertrude Izban I noticed another Izban headstone. I can't think it's a very common name. This is what I came up with:
John S Izban 1897-1957
Viola L Izban died 1959 at 70 years old
These two are buried together and about two rows off from where Michael and Gertrude are buried.

There is also:
Henry J Izban 1905-1964 buried with Florence M Izban 1908-1962 buried in section RO
and there is an Alice Izban (interred Jul 15, 1968 at 67 years old) in Section KK.
I found headstones for John and Viola. I haven't looked yet for Alice.
If John and Viola are yours and you create memorial pages let me know and I'll post the pictures there.

RE: Requesting photos in St. Adalbert's
The only one I could find was Martha. She was a term grave and I couldn't find a stone. I'm sorry I could not locate any of the others. I looked at the kiosk and they were not listed at any catholic cemetery in the archdiocese of chicago.

RE: Transferring a loved one
SAC means "Suggest a Correction" -- at the top right of a memorial is tab which reads "edit" -- click on it and you will several possible things you can do. The first is "Suggest a correction or provide additional information." Using that link to request a transfer gives the administrator of the memorial a link to the correct memorial and a link to the page of the person requesting the transfer. It's also helpful to include your member number in the request. Annie

I found and have a photo for a Theodore Izban 1891-1959.
He was right next to Joseph and Francis. He doesn't seem to have a memorial yet. If you make one let me know and I will post his picture.
