Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in genealogy since 1979 when Alex Haley's "Roots" program was on tv. At the time I worked at a university library and my brother and I (that's my son in the photo) found the Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy by William Wade Hinshaw, published by Genealogical Publishing .. and traced our family back 200+ years in one afternoon! I am now retired from a county government position. My husband and I love searching for graves and hope that we can make significant contributions to Find A Grave!

RE: Staton genealogy
Hey Teresa....was so happy to see that you remember my Daddy, Roy Staton.

The only info on Elizabeth Stinnett is that she was born March 1980, in Virginia. I am checking the census reports etc to see what I can find.

If I find anything else I will let you know

Staton genealogy
I have left two incomplete messages. In researching out my Dad's family, I discovered he
had a 1/2 brother (Lee Thomas staton) and a 1/2 sister (Ruby Pauline French Anderson). Both these children were raised by my grandmother( Maggie
Bunnel Staton) and my grandfather (Edward Walter
Staton). Seems that Pauline was your mother.
Viola Staton French Anderson was your grandmother.
Things get complicated at time but my grandfather
(Edward Walter Staton) and Emma Stinnett staton)
was the parents of Viola Staton French Anderson.

Do I have my comments correct? I am about burnt
out trying to put all the pieces together and hope
you can shed some light on this issue.

thank you
Connie Staton (Stone) (My Dad was Roy Louis Staton)
