I recently became interested in my family genealogy and research four years ago. I am particularly interested in the Wisconsin areas of Eleva, Strum, (formerly known as Unity, Sumner, Albion townships) Bruce Valley, Chimney Rock, Drammen, Pleasant Valley, Eau Claire, Ettrick, Hegg, Blair, Fairchild, Pigeon Falls, Whitehall, Augusta, Garfield, Mondovi, Durand, Maxville, Osseo, Black River Falls, Trinity (Norden) Mondovi, East Bennett Valley areas where many of my great grandparents lived. |
Many of the names I research are: Berg, Thompson, Hanson, Olson, Knutson/Knudtson, Dahl, Finstad, Frodahl, Klick, Williams, Holte, Hurlburt, Jones, Rice, Moltzau, Nelson, Peterson, Anderson, Severson,
I also am researching as I come across the veterans who died in service and their Gold Star families in Trempealeau County and nearby counties in Jackson, Buffalo, Pepin, Dunn and EC. I've linked at least 250 so far. I have a virtual cemetery if people are interested.
If you would like to request a transfer, please feel free. I would be happy to transfer almost any record to someone with a greater connection to the memorial. I don't check my email every day though, so it may take a few days.

What evidence do you have to support your edit suggestion that her parents are:
(1859 - 1917)
Mary A. Lisowski Wojcik
(1864 - 1939)
Her maiden name (according to the obituary) was WOYCHIK.
Appreciate the help,
so kind of you!

Thank you so much for the information on John Johnson!
|Kathy Cox||RE: Found another Christianson from Chimney Rock?|
Sorry, I have been on vacation. Haven't forgotten. I am going off memory but Julius Johnson... is he related to Linda; whom you and I both corresponded with on e-mail. I am back home (Ohio) and will be looking at this as I am going home to Wisconsin on the 21st and hope to find some additional information then. Right now I am trying to put binders together for my family members back home... for keepsakes.

Cyndi! Just saw your messages! You have my attention! I have company over at the house right now but will look at this more tomorrow. If this is the case... I think we have another link between my Grandmother's side and my Grandfather's side of the families. This is very cool. Thanks Cyndi for all that you do and for keeping me in your thoughts on all this.

Would you, please, share with me how you know his birthplace and his parents names? Thanks!

I meet almost no one from Wisconsin who has heard of Eleva. My grandparents are buried there.
Just had to say "Hello"
|Ernie Johnson||Nels Halvorson|
Thank you for the transfer!! Much appreciated!!
|Ernie Johnson||Nels Halvorson #177682686|
Would you be willing to transfer Nels' memorial to me? I made a memorial for his wife. I entered her as " Mrs.N.Halvorson". I saw a photo of her grave & that's exactly what's on the stone. Her name was Turi. According to Findagrave guidelines you have to enter exactly what's on the stone. I put her first name in the nickname field.It's the best I could do according to guidelines.Mr.& Mrs.Halvorson had 12 children. 4 of them married into my father's side of my family.

Thanks for making the changes to Andrew's bio.
However, please go look at the narrative. The first paragraph seems odd and detached. I think it belongs some place within the narrative and must have gotten detached. Please look. Also can you correct the misspelling of States (Sates) in United States?
Thank you for all the work you do. So much detail to keep track of.
