I am a former newspaper reporter and high school journalism teacher. Now I enjoy applying my investigative and research skills toward genealogy!

Because of my background, ethics, copyright and giving appropriate credit are very important to me.

You are welcome to use my CEMETERY photos, but please credit them ("Findagrave.com photo courtesy of jengenx" is fine.) If you want to use a photo of the actual person, please contact me first for permission. Commercial uses of either type of photo are not allowed under any circumstances. Finally, please do not claim my photos as your own and I will grant you the same courtesy.

Vancil family
Hello - are you connected to the Vancil family members who are buried in the Camp Creek Cemetery in Jackson County, Illinois? I can transfer their memorials to you, if you desire.

In any case - thank you for the additional information. You spurred me into searching for and linking other Vancil family members.

Best wishes,
Paul Hoyt

RE: Falk photos
I just got back from Elmhurst. I photographed the markers of Frank & Mary Dvorak; Anthony, Mary & Virginia Shindelus; and Johanna Falk. I should have them uploaded by tomorrow.

Hi,
I got your pics yesterday. Jack's gravestone is pretty old, worn, and stained. I cleaned it up some and got the goose poop off of it! I wet the letters because that makes them stand out ten times better than otherwise.

Do you have a birth and death date you could give me to add?
Also if you are family, some one could request a military headstone at no cost. Then you could set it yourself or it costs about 80 or 90$ to have it set.
