Hopkins Family
Hi Mike,

We are related somehow. We share Altoona/Hollidaysburg relatives. My Dad was Stephen Hopkins, Grandfather: J. Fred Hopkins, 1st GG : George Brinton Hopkins, 2nd GG: Turner B. Hopkins.

I have been researching our family on Ancestry and have gotten pretty far.

Thanks for posting grave pics.

RE: George Brinton Hopkins
Anger is best controlled by a nice walk in a cemetery - there are over 100 photo requests at Oak Ridge What don't you be magnanimous and help others by getting some. I have provided the exact location to most of the photo requests
Perhaps you don't understand findagrave, it is about "Find a Grave's mission is to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience"
If you only want to add your relatives that is hunky-dory (to use an expression from my birthplace, Altoona, PA) but I try to help much more than that.

RE: George Brinton Hopkins
Read the rules. You know you are wrong, now that I have pointed it out you are angry. I don't OWN memorials and neither do you, we are managers.
As for Oak Ridge- I spent 5 years docuemnting this cemetery with a group of volunteers, our efforts are documented by the Blair County Geneaology society.
But I am not going to argue with you, a waste of my time, I have lots more memorials and photo to enter.
Have a nice whatever and try to control your anger against a complete stranger who follows the findagrave rules.

RE: George Brinton Hopkins
report this- that you deliberately flaunt many find a grave rules, deliberate duplication, posting of outside links to memorials, etc.
If this is not YOUR Brother, father, Grandfather or great grandfather I am not obligated to transfer management to you.

Volunteer at cememteries
Same here I am a volunteer at several cemeteries, this does no convey management of all the burials within.

RE: George Brinton Hopkins
Not within 4 generations - only direct relatives-
from the FAQS:
"Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Explain your relationship in the request"

RE: George Brinton Hopkins
how did I get my memorials?by walking and photographing thousands of cemeteries.
Being a relative does not convey ownership- You deliberatly duplicated memorials - against findagrave rules.
