I'm fascinated by family history. Am unable to take photos of my own ancestor's burial sites since what few exist are in other parts of the world, and most of them were poor folk who would have been unable to afford a marker. So I volunteer to take photos for others and satisfy my desire to look through cemeteries for ancestors in that way. If I can't track down my own, at least I can help out someone else! I intend that any photos I post are for your personal use only and will not be used in any commercial way.

Elizabeth Caruthers Thomas
There was once a footstone for Elizabeth near Finice's "FC". Is the "R" part of the sculptors signature? Finice's monument was commissioned and installed by his business partners and there is no recognition of his mother on it.

Lillian J Swanson Photo
Thank you for taking a photo of the gravestone of Lillian J Swanson. She was my grand aunt. I remember her even though she died when I was three years old. She was the owner of the Lillian Shop, a women's clothing store, for over 20 years in Petersburg, Alaska.

RE: Frank and Alice Todhunter
Hi Susan and THANK YOU SO MUCH for the photo of the grave of my Aunt and Uncle. Frank was a fixture with the Portland Fire Dept for many years as were his brothers, "Clay" and Stanford. This couple had a wonderful life together even though Alice became blind shortly after their marriage. They did not have children. I seem to have several relatives in the Rose City Cemetery. I don't travel any longer so your effort is so appreciated !!!

Happy Easter..

Paola Stefani
I found a 1921 passenger list on Ancestry for Domenico Stefani (age 73 so born about 1848) and his wife Paola Stefani (age 67 so born about 1854). Their destination was Portland, Oregon. So, I think the photo you have is likely my Paolina Stefani memorial #123376569 Do you want to add your photo to this memorial? I moved her memorial back to Rose City Cemetery. Thanks so much.

Paoli Stefani in Rose City Cemetery
I moved the 2 Stefanis that I had in Rose City to "no cemetery" for now. I have Domenico's death certificate and it indicates that he was removed to Rose City but perhaps that was just for cremation. Paoli Stefani I do not know about but may be related to the Stefani Family that I am researching. I could add a memorial for him (?) if you like so you could add your photo or you could add a memorial. Let me know. Thanks:)
