Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy research and genealogy. I also enjoy scuba diving, wood working and artwork. I generally will go to Muskegon, Michigan areas to photograph gravestones; however, if you have a special need, please let me know and I'll try to get closer to the north, south and east. Sorry, but Lake Michigan is on the west and I'll only scuba dive there. :) Wishing everyone the best in your searches!

Dates on headstone for Wharton Cole
Hi,
Looking at the records more carefully, the dates on Wharton's headstone may be incorrect. In the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Fed Census, the age recorded for Wharton indicates he was born in 1846 not 1838. Also, in the Probate Records for him, he signed his will in May of 1907 and his date of death was recorded as December 8, 1907.
Do you have any thoughts about it? I have changed the dates for him to reflect this information.

Dickerson (?) Cole
Hi Wendi,
I live in Spring Lake, Michigan. I don't leave for Arizona until the end of the year - probably December 31st. I cannot miss Christmas with my granddaughters! :-)

I have Alva Cole born on December 5, 1774 in
Cattaraugus or Onondaga, New York. Do you have evidence of his birth in France? Where did you get that information?

Wendi,

I know I'm two years late, but thanks for looking for this grave. I never came back to the site to check to see if anyone accepted the request. It's possible he doesn't have a headstone, which makes the search for him impossible.

Just a note to express my deep appreciation for the wonderful photos you took of B M Tiffany's stone. I know you had to clean it up quite a bit to get the photos.
I am so grateful for your efforts.
Bless you!

I would greatly appreciate it if you'd look over my requests for this cemetery and claim them all...remembering that I would like a photo of where there is no stone...see last week's memo on Dixie Carr's.

I usually ask (if there's a stone) for 2 shots...one up close to read and another of the full stone plus a little bit for beauty and to see the location relative to the back ground.

Boy, do I want alot! LOL

Thanks for listening and for helping me with this.

I would appreciate a photo of the AREA where Dixie Carr is resting. Then please put under Caption where on the photo it would be.

Without a grave photo Ancestry will not add a place for the burial.

Thanks so much for your 2 attempts in the past...the request is still in the system.

Would you please duplicate the top photo (distant shot) from #86378655 to menorial #83602730? If you also have William Wallace's up close by itself, please also add that to his.

I know that I keep a copy of every good shot we've taken over the years...on disk to clear space on the computer. I hope that you've done the same.

All of their obituaries stated they were buried in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens and their family said that they are there too (someone who moved away over a decade ago) Is it possible they were cremated and therefore in another section or something? i live up in Hart so I cannot come down there very easily to look and I do appreciate it much that you have tried to help me out :)

Thank you very much for attempting to locate this grave. I know you were unable to locate it, but I wanted to thank you for trying. I'm going to have to call the Mona View Cemetery office. Maybe they can help me.
