I am first, and foremost, a person who loves to chase her ancestors around the country and sometimes in other countries, too. I am always happy to share info and family pictures with all. Many people have helped me in my quest and I have always tried to return the favor. Any of my old ancestor pictures may be used by others for family research purposes. I only ask that you put my e-mail address and my name as the original owner. Many of my photos may be the only ones in existence of this person. The only exception is for the picture of Albert Walter James, Civil War Vet, which is owned by my brother, Raymond Farrington, and may not be reproduced in any form.|
Most of my ancestors came from England and Scotland and I have visited several times this land of beauty and wonderful, friendly folks. They have always made me feel so welcome.
I lived in India for some time prior to my marriage and fell in love with the country and its warm and generous people.
Right now, I am doing work on my findagrave sites and having a ball! Good ancestor hunting to you all!

Hi Sheila. Elijah Jr is my 4th g grandfather. Mass. Vital records and Mass. Birth and Christenings both list his birth as 21 Jul 1784 in Sharon, Mass. His parents are Elijah Sr and Unity Estey. Elijah Sr and Unity were married 5 Jul 1781. I have not found any records for when Elijah and Nancy were married. I have ancestors in my tree from Elijah to my 10th g grandfather John Johnson who came to America in 1630 with the Winthrop Fleet as part of the Great Migration. He arrived in Roxbury Mass. If your on ancestry my member name is stevedj2008. You can view my tree there. If not on ancestry my email is email@example.com. I can email you our tree and can assist you if you need any help with our ancestry.

Thanks for the praise, I live in the Stockbridge Valley and love the scenery and the whole dern county for that matter......Andy
Thank you for the information you have found on my Hydon ancestors from England. Very interesting! I am the great-grandson of Robert T. Hydon (and thus great- great of James Hydon and Ann Williams Hydon). I have been to Skaneateles, NY many times as well as to Nether Stowey in England. Beautiful place. My father, Robert K., is also buried in Lakeview Cemetery in Skan with his Hydon ancestors. Cheers!

Happy to have something to do during this cold, snowy winter (yes, I am trying to make you feel bad in Florida ! ) don't you miss central N.Y.
I have decided that if you scratch the surface deep enough everyone is related to everyone.

I posted a photo of your missing uncle's headstone in Woodlawn Cemetery in Saskatoon. I checked the local library database and there was a published obituary for your uncle. The database is online at
The library has an obituary request service. Maybe that will provide you a bit more information about Alexander. Good luck in your search.

Never a problem to transfer memorials to people who have more of an involvement than myself.
My mother was going to the Senior Citizen's Lunches in Marcellus a couple of years back and I spent my waiting time taking photographs of the memorials and making sure all of the graves there were on Find A Grave.
Anything I can do to help you add to these memorials, just ask.
