I have grown up in the San Francisco Bay area. I attended school, married and helped raised my family here. I am now retired, and acquired a passion for searching my family roots and my new interest in Find a Grave. I am attending more memorial services of family and friends now. At one memorial service I was given a short story by an unknown author that describes this beautiful explanation of death from a father to his children.|
“When tomorrow starts without me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name,
And took me by the hand.
The angel said my place was ready
In heaven far above
And that I’d have to leave behind
All those I dearly loved.
When I walked through Heaven’s gates,
I felt so much at home
For God looked down and smiled at me.
And said, “Welcome Home”
So when tomorrow starts without me
Don’t think we’re far apart
For every time you think of me
I’m right here in your heart.”

|Jan Fenter||John Hoffman # 153832305|
You sent me an Edit for John Hoffman, born about 1860-1861, born in Wisconsin, to link him with a Matthias Hoffman and Mary Mayer Hoffman, whom you say are his parents. I tried to find him with his parents, in 1880. I found too many men named John Hoffman, born about the same time in Wisconsin. I couldn't decide who his parents were.
What documentation do you have as proof of his parents being Matthias and Mary? Do you have an obit, death certificate, family bible, family photos, showing John with family, such as parents and his wife?
Are you a family member and if so, how are you related?

I have accepted your edits for James and Susanna.

It was my pleasure!
|Norm Prince||Ellie S Little|
I noted that you have added several photographs to a memorial for Ellie Little, #119901579, in Graceland Cemetery. As there is another, earlier memorial for the same person with complete data and correct name, I am asking that you might remove the pictures you placed on the above memorial and add to the correct memorial, Sarah Elinor "Ellie" Little, #101564582. Thank you for your time and effort with Find A Grave.
I have made memorials for:
DAVISON (Flossie Davison Englehart's parents)
HALL (main headstone shared w/ John Englehart)
Please let me know if you want any or all of these memorials transferred to you.

I went back there this am to see if I can get a better pick of John Englehart's headstone then what I got yesterday With the glare of the sun. Unfortunately it is not much better this am the engraving is not much better. There are Hall's right next to him and the back of his headstone says Hall also. I will make memorials for them.

thank you for the McNeill gravestone pictures, Thomas; it's been so dreadfully hot and muggy, then dark and drizzly, I'm seriously good 'n ready to start complaining about snow...Thank you for braving it all for us.
