I am a shelter manager for a small Humane Society and an animal advocate.I love geneology and research as well as headstone hunting. When I work on a memorial I try very hard to get all the info possible and make or request any links that can be found and made. Feel free to use any of my pictures as needed. I do not consider them copyrighted. As well as linking and entering family members. I also picture take in the very local cemeteries to memorialize and link family of those that created and lived our rich local history. I come across parents and grandparents, family members of friends and schoolmates with every visit to the cemeteries. |
My husband and I are looking for family.
His is Young and Parmley (Kentucky,Iowa), Kutter and Hanson in Iowa and Missouri, Beston (Birston) and Parisien of North Dakota and Canada, Hardin, (Iowa) and Bruce (Missouri), Johnson(Johansan) and Beckett, (Lee Co. Iowa from Sweden)

Do you know of anyone who might be willing to search the Keokuk papers for an obituary for Monsignor O"Reilly? My sister is preparing a historical display for past pastors of Resurrection Parish in Dubuque. O'Reilly served there (at precursor St. Philomena's) from 1865 to 1873. The Archdiocese has conflicting dates for him and not a lot of information. We believe he was also president of Loras College in it's earliest days. He died in 1909. Sept. 28th I think. I would be happy to pay whomever might be willing to do this.

Sent a note to DC Adams asking for the removal of the person's image. I added a biography which shows "Red" Mullikin was working for a gas company and not the police. Thanks for alerting me. Keep up the great work.

Hi, Joyce. Thanks for getting back to me so fast. The one who told me was Gabe who works at Harrison Monuments. He didn't mention a name. When I called him about the picture that you posted he called his dad who told him the story. You may want to call Gabe at Harrison Monuments out of Warsaw. He might be able to get the name from his dad.
I'm not sure that you got my email response after my response to you about the picture. I thanked you for taking it and I am curious as to what drew you to take it. Gabe is going to check at my uncle's grave, Joann's dad, to see if there is one like that for him.

Appreciate your transfers.
You have set me on to further research on my relatives. I am trying to get information regarding spellings from death certificates and any other sources.
I keep finding both spellings.
Again thanks for the transfers.

It doesn't help that most of the Doanes have about five different names!
