RE: James J Donovan
> Do you know if the James J Donovan you have listed here was the one married to Elizabeth Mary Calligan?

James Donovan is interred with Mildred A. Donovan.

Calligans in St. Joseph's

I haven't found your Calligans yet, but you also requested to be notified of any others that may be located in the cemetery. I have added Joseph and Mary Calligan. I will still keep searching for your request.

RE: Eleanor Laura Wicker Bradbury
I'm sorry, I don't have any information on either of them. If I find it at some point in my research, I'll be happy to send it to you.

RE: Mary Calligan
According to the cemetery listing done about 1980 by Larry Dwelly there is a Mary Calligan in Section 4, Row 14, Stone 13(counting from left). Patrick is listed as 4-14-12, so I assume that the stones are next to each other. There are no birth dates. Sorry.

RE: Mary Calligan
There are at least two sources for this information. About 1988 Larry Dwelly did a EMVC listing of burials that were before 1900 which lists Mary and Patrick Calligan's death dates and cemetery section. The other one is from the "List of inscriptions on tombstones in East Machias Village Cemetery, twenty Years of Age and Older" by Henry Smith Whittier in his 'EAST MACHIAS, 1765 - 1926." Why Dwelly only did listings before 1900 and Whittier only did twenty years of age and older I do not know. There are probably other listings too. Are you related to Mary or Patrick Calligan?

RE: Sarah Jane Shields Bales
The photo of Sarah Jane Shields Bales came from her family, grandson, and grandchildren. She was born 14 November 1832, Greene County, Tennessee. The only other county Sarah Jane Shields ever was in was Washington County, and maybe just maybe Jefferson County, TN.

Our Sarah Jane Shields Bales was never in Mississippi.

If this other person has a identical photo someone has taken our photo and attached to the wrong Sarah Jane Bales.

I had the same thing happen with my 2nd great grandfather, different surname, but they happened to have an ancestor with the same surname and someone took my photo and attached to their ancestor. Needless to say I was totally speechless. I just hope that the error was corrected, and there were not others that attached that photo to theirs before it was corrected.

Have plenty of living ancestors that know this is our Sarah Jane Shields photo for sure!!!!
