I "discovered" Find A Grave recently when researching my grandfather's family. The sight has proved invaluable! I was able to find my great-grandparents graves and see the correct spelling of great-grandmother's name and have located several cemeteries in the Danville, VA area where my relatives are buried. I have enjoyed adding pictures of family graves to this sight and being able to help others. I spend a lot of time walking around graveyards lately, but I'm really having fun!!

THANK YOU!!!
I have been looking for my great-grandmother's grave for a very long time. My great-grandfather's first set of children had his first wife "dug up" and buried next to him. I had no idea how to find Florence.

Thank you SO much.

Ann Hyler & Marvin Fowler
Hi Katie, I linked them together for you. Only the people who put them in f-a-g are able to link them, so I am happy to do it for you. Are you related to Ann Hyler Fowler, if very close I would be happy to transfer her to you, Larry

Katie,

Thank you for your note. The correct pronunciation is with an "I", not "E".

I do not know Gordon Reese. Our name is spelled with a "c" and my husbands relatives are not from that area as far as I know, so we are probably not related. Thanks for asking.

Katie

Yes I saw that, thank you. They are my great grandparents. The correct spelling of the name is McIver, one I, not 3.

Thank you again,

Alma

P.S. I am still looking for "Big Daniel" McIver and his wife Mary. They are my great great great grandparents.

RE: Your location
Hey Katie, I have found some at Buffalo Cemetery. I think some of the requests may be unmarked, or just have a last name on the headstone. But if you do find some of the ones that I have claimed would you please send me an email and let me know so that I won't continue to search for the ones that have been found. Thanks! Marie

Transfers
Dear Katie,

I received the transfers; I appreciate them.

I will start adding all the information I have to these transfers over the next few days. This should keep me busy.

Once more, thank you for everything,

Mark

RE: William Henry Sloan Gravestone
Dear Katie,

I perused through the new additions that you added of my relatives. How nice! I am so glad to receive them.

There weren't any "new" relatives among this group; all known relatives. However, I have been waiting for pictures of these relative's gravestones to appear. Thanks to you they did, and I am so grateful to you for doing the unexpected.

As far as you transferring the management of my Sloan relatives over to me in order that I might maintain them? It would be an honor that I would highly value. Since you are willing, I readily accept your offer.

Once again, if there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know.

With much appreciation and many thanks to you,

Mark
