|teresas1965||James McCreary photo request|
I have transcribed all the stones in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, and have not found a stone for James. It may have broken off or the surface of the stone may be too worn to read. Unfortunately there are many graves in this cemetery that do not have markers.
I added his burial to Chestnut Grove on findagrave from his death certificate.
|teresas1965||RE: Chestnut Grove Cemetery (James McCreary)|
The only other McCrearys I have found for Chestnut Grove are Eva and Minnie, daughters of Thomas and Sarah (Tatman) McCreary. Thomas is also a son of James and Eliza. Thomas and Sarah are buried at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, located in Salt Creek Township, Hocking County, Ohio. I don't know where James and Eliza are buried.

Leave a message for me at email@example.com if you want me to send you the information I got on your ancestor at the National Archives!
|Patti Richards||Ezra E ricket(ts)|
i was research my Ezra Ricketts that also fought in the Civil War from Ohio. I was at the National Archives today in DC and pulled his service records. He also has a pension application, but you have to get that from St. Louis archives. Is this person a Ricket or Ricketts? I come from Ricketts, but my earlier ancestor spelled it with one 'T'. I need to scan the docs into digital form (I could only make copies at the archives), and if you give me an email address I will send you the information I pulled. Your Ezra survived the Battle of Chickamauga, my Ezra Ricketts died in that battle. Are you on ancestry.com?
