Fellow Taphophile
Let me take a moment here to tell you that you have made my day. I stumbled upon all the Main headstones you put up last year or so and was delighted as I haven't had the time or money to trek that far to finally see them. And to view your profile and see the definition for taphophilia made me beyond elated. I've got the affliction myself and it was nice seeing someone use the term :)

Just know that you are super appreciated for your work and passion! Thank you!

RE: Fetty-Hogue Cemetery - WV
Thank you also for the information on the Stewart-Michael Cemetery!

Let me ask you another question ........

How do you go about visiting the cemeteries that are on someones private land? Do you just show up and ask them if you can go to the cemetery or do you try to contact them ahead of time?

It seems that so many of the ones I want to visit and photograph are on private property.

Thanks for you input! : )

RE: Fetty-Hogue Cemetery - WV
Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate it.

I'm just fascinated with all the small family-type cemeteries in the area. The more I look into them, the more I realize I have distant relatives in many of them.

I really enjoy doing the detective work in trying to locate some of the small cemeteries, but in many cases, I need to rely on people who have actually visited them to help me locate them.

Thanks again!

Best regards,

Fetty-Hogue Cemetery - WV
I see that you took a couple of pictures of the Fetty-Hogue Cemetery in Arnettsville, WV back in November of 2013.

I was wondering if you have any recollection as to where it's located. Any directions you might be able to provide would be most appreciated!

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Bill Truninger

Elmer Fetty #96787182
Hi, Elaina,
Further to the above. I'm leaving your photo until something else shows up. I think you're probably right about it being his. Just wanted you to know I located his birth and death record both of which were different than the reading I originally used. When you have time, would appreciate you taking a look to see if this changes anything so far as the pic goes.

Hello, Elaina,
Just noticed this - I believe the photos you have posted to this memorial belong to Elmore Fetty who died 1885. Elmer (above) died 1938. Would appreciate you deleting the photos from Elmer's memorial. I did not check to see of Elmore has a memorial.

Hi, No I'm not personally related to the Fetty's I was working on my mother in laws Criss genealogy and Zona Jones who married Charles Floyd son of Alfred Floyd and Sarah Fetty Floyd Anderson. So I was then helping their children with farther back the Floyd line. Thanks for the Floyd tombstone pictures. The family greatly appreciates them.
