RE: Anderson Jeffers
We have membership with

Lucy A. Jeffers
Born: 1854
Married: Charles Sullivan
Marr. Date & Place: July 8, 1874 - Woodhull, Steuben Co., NY.
I have birth dates & the counties they were born in for most of Anderson Jeffers' Children.

You are, related to Anderson Jeffers? If so, then you are a distant cousin to me.

For reference sake; we have a Jeffers (Bates & Anderson) Family Reunion every June. Its a small gathering, around 35 people. It starts out with a potluck lunch, business part of reunion & small auction.
The reunion has been going on since 1924.

Anderson Jeffers is my gr. grandfather's older brother.

Anderson Jeffers
I know the children of Joseph Jeffers but there was another Joseph Jeffers & this "Joseph" was the son of Anderson Jeffers.
Joseph Jeffers
Born: October 12, 1846 - Addison, Steuben Co., NY
Died: June 17, 1929 - NY

Anderson Jeffers
B. 1826 - Lindley, Steuben Co., NY
D. 1900 - Addison, Steuben Co., NY

Wife: Martha Butler
B. November 15, 1825 - Addison, Steuben Co., NY
D. April 26, 1904 - Austinburg, Tioga Co., PA
Buried: Inez Cemetery
Daughter of Thomas & Rachel Butler.

Anderson & Martha had 12 Children (Elizabeth, Simpson James, George, Joseph, William, Charles F., Benjamin, Lucy A., Mary Jane, Sarah A., Thomas and Samuel James.

My gr. Grandfather Joseph Samuel Jeffers was born in 1836.

Thomas Jeffers moved to Florida with his family & died there.
Several of Anderson's children's names were the same as his father's children.

I hope this helps you & your research.

RE: Martha Butler Jeffers
On my mother's side, I am related to the Jeffers Family as my mother's mother was a Jeffers; an offchute of the Jeffers Family left the comforts of New York State & moved with his (soon-to-be) bride from Tioga Co., PA to Waupaca County, Wisconsin in the summer of 1857 (give or take some months).

Most of my Jeffers came from Steuben Co., New York, as my great grandfather Joseph Jeffers (younger brother to Anderson Jeffers) was born in West Cameron, Steuben Co., NY & his father (Samuel Jeffers died in that locale & is buried nearby (maybe in PA).
I have records going back to the mid to late 1700's of my line of the "Jeffers Dynasty." I have all of the sibingsw of Samuel Jeffers & all siblings of my gr. grandpa Joseph (in a binder).

Hi, Thanks for the picture of Great Aunt Kate's headstone. I'm afraid I don't get to Penticton very often anymore, so I'm glad you were able to take the picture for me. Let me know if I can return the favour somehow. Thanks again.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the pictures of my grandparent's grave marker. This means so much to me. I doubt that I would ever have had the chance to get to B.C. to visit their marker. Thank you for your generous gift!
