RE: Maurice Lowmam
I did not find a marker with that name in the specified cemetery in Poplar Point, but there are 2 more cemeteries associated with Poplar Point. One is listed, but the other is not, and I think "Maurice Lowmam" could be in the unlisted cemetery which is at the ST. Anns Anglican Church. I will look the next time I am in the area.

RE: Maurice Lowmam

Thank you ever so much with helping with this issue. My cousin Gordon manages the memorial. I talked with him about this looking at the sources he has and I have. We know Maurice John Goodman Lowman died 19-September-1873 in Poplar Point. His probate left his estate to a grand-daughter. His wife was our step-grandmother who was buried in England. So, we do not have any documentation to where he was buried. Just that he died at Poplar Point. I do know that his daughter married a Hector McKenzie who may be buried up there. Maurice had a son Henry William Lawrence Lowman which we do not know what happened to. The birth date on the memorial is from a christianing record. I have that Maurice was birn in England in 1797. I do know some of the family was Anglican. Yet not much more is known on this end of the family. Both Gordon and I are in the States and too far away to visit in person. Anything you could help with would be apreciated.
