Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on our family's history since 2007 but more seriously after retirement in 2011.

I grew up in Pell City Alabama. My mother's family has been there for generations and it seems we are related to everyone. My Father is from Cherrytree PA and his family has been in Indiana Co PA for generations. My husband grew up in a small historical town right on Puget Sound and we settled here in WA in 1979. We have lived in Va., Okinawa, the Philippines, CA, and WA.

Our family is diverse, my southern roots are AL; Goodgames/Williamsons/Drummonds/Smiths, northern are PA; Fleming/Davis/Anderson/Lutman/Buterbaugh. My husbands family is from Iowa and Ohio - Frederick/Frase/Weygant and NY-Denver; Rothenberg/Axelrod/Becker.

We live in the Puget Sound area and although other than our children and grandchildren we have no other family here, I would be happy to take pictures in the Tacoma, Olympia area. If you are not sure where your cemetery is located, just let me know.

Feel free to use my photos, they are there for everyone to use.

Suzette Frederick

RE: James Kay
You were right, I corrected the link of

Rev. James Kay 1787-1859,
was the son of
James Kay 1763-1820,
was the son of
Robert Kay 1725.

Thank you for your help.

more Elizabeth Kay Wright
I show her marrying Edward Wright when she was just sixteen, so it seems quite unlikely that she had any children before that. And one other thing--clearly the parents she is linked to cannot possibly be both her and James' parents, as they were born just three months apart. And would their "mother" really still have been having children at age 49? The note on James' page makes it seem likely that a generation was skipped in his case.

But again, all those are questions for Barbara Koon Ferguson.

Elizabeth Kay Wright
I had never come across any information about a previous marriage. I hope you will send that info to the creator/manager of her page. And perhaps she has some knowledge or record of it. Do you know if she and Thomas Trussell had any children?

Hello Suzette,

Cordelia Wright was definitely first married to a James Flemming. I have double checked my sources and noticed that his middle initial is either 'L' or 'T' depending upon the source - likely 'L'.

I will remove James T. born 1846 as her husband.

Thank you for the heads-up.

RE: Frase and ohters
I don't have Lulu Frase on my tree unless that is a nickname. I look forward to adding her and her family line in. I do have concerns that the Frase line on my tree is not accurate past a certain point. They appear to have lived in a tight community where the pickings were slim when it came to finding a spouse. There were a number of first cousins marrying first cousins and they all named their kids the same names!

I will invite you as a contributor so you can add or correct anything you find on mine that is wrong. I would love to do the DNA thing as well. I'm trying to decide which service would be the best one to use. I'm thinking 23 and Me.
My email is and I'm LMyers22 on ancestry.

RE: David Frase
Hi I would love to share Frase info with you. Do you have an ancestry account? I have a very extensive tree there on the Frase family and would be happy to invite you. My member name there is LMyers22.
John Maxwell Frase's mother was Elizabeth Maxwell and outside of her basic info I have found nothing at all beyond her. She was born on October 24, 1824, in Baughman, Ohio. She married David A. Frase on July 4, 1850, in Wayne County, Ohio. They had nine children in 16 years. She died on September 20, 1895, in Chippewa, Ohio, at the age of 70 (provided that is accurate).
John's brother Thomas was my great grandmother Bertha's father. I have lots of data on his line.

Sorry, I did NOT add a maiden name for Sarah Smith. I don't know how this happened! Find A Grave is suppose to contact the contributor when someone suggests a change for any name, date or any other additions. I was NOT CONTACTED! I did not make any changes! I sure wish I knew Sarah's maiden name, but I don't. - Linda
