recording headstones
Thank you for doing the work (of recording headstone information), which I know is tedious. For us whom live thousands of miles away it is invaluable.

RE: Dorothy Louise McLean is not here.
I have found several mistaken identifies, here on "Find-a-Grave". It is impossible not to have them. I have made them myself, which I later was able to correct. Because the cemetery lists are recorded many years after the people are deceased, it is still the responsibility of the amateur genealogist to use other sources to confirm the information. I think many people on Ancestry.com want others to do the work for them, so they just copy incorrect family trees, without checking the source.

Dorothy Louise McLean is not here.
Dorothy H. McLean is a married name, see the headstone, she is buried with Bartlett A McLean, her husband. Therefore, these parents and siblings are not hers. The Dorothy McLean, who has parents James Walter McLean and Cora Mae Morrow, married first Charles Swarts, then Hazen Ham. She is buried in Virginia with Hazen Belden Ham. Her middle name is Louise. The problem is that that she was born in 1909 and died in 1999. Dorothy H. was born in 1908 and died in 1999. The dates for the 2 Dorothy's almost match up, causing this confusion.

Request Transfer of Memorials
Patricia,
We were wondering if you would be willing to transfer the memorials for Gloria May (nee Pitlash) Calka Find A Grave #114328447 and Adam B. Calka Find A Grave #114328449 as they are my wife's Grandparents. We would greatly appreciate it and have a lot to add to their memorials. Thanks for creating them!!
Regards, Scott

Hi Patrica, Thanks for doing the edits. No reason to transfer him to me. We're not related. Paul Turner
