Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am originally from Memphis, but have lived in Henderson County for the last twenty years. I grew up in north Mississippi on Sardis Lake. I love photography and have found cemeteries to be the most peaceful places in the world. I hold dignity and respect of the deceased in the highest regard. No one should should be forgotten. It is an honor to help you memorialize your loved ones.

John Barham Cason & Oda Perry Cason
Hi, Traci:

You posted a problem with my photo requests for John Barham Cason and Oda Perry Cason memorials in Milledgeville Cemetery in Tennessee. You wanted to know if I thought the small markers near their son John Perry Cason's marker might be their markers.

I believe the small markers with "J.C." and "O.C." are footmarkers for the graves of John Barham Cason and Oda Perry Cason. So I think it would be okay to post your photos of the small markers on their memorials.

The death certificates for John Barham Cason and Oda Perry Cason both state 'Odom' Cemetery for place of burial. I found a cemetery transcription for 'Milledgeville (Odom) Cemetery" online at this web address:
http://www.tngenweb.org/records/chester/cemeteries/donahue/milled.htm

Apparently Milledgeville Cemetery used to be called Odom Cemetery, so I believe John and Oda Cason are buried there, but their headstones are either missing, buried, or destroyed. All that remains are their footstones.

Thanks very much for your help, and welcome to Find A Grave!

Blessings,
Cyndi
