|Findagrave||Guillermo Enrique Guggisberg|
I have communicated with you before and once met your daughter while she lived in Utah. I visited Cabrero and Pueblo Yumbel in 1998 and took the picture of the graves related to the Guggisberg family. Your greatgrandfather Friedrich Wilhelm Guggisberg emigrated from Zimmerwald to Chile about 1885 - he was the son of Rosina Guggisberg who later married and became the wife of Georg Franz Sterki. She had another son, Rudy (Rudolf) who remained in Switzerland and who's grandson, also named Rudy Guggisberg I knew very well - I think he is still alive, is 85 years old.

I actually got a copy of this picture from your daughter Cristina several years ago. I once went to meet her in Utah, believe it was about 8 years ago.
Friedrich Wilhelm Guggisberg was married to Helena Anna Georgina Annesley Teer in Pueblo Yumbel, Region VIII on the 25th March 1887. I visited there 16 years ago and personally perused the records at the registro civil. I also visited the small cemetery in Cabrero where he lies buried. The tombstone is not correct, it seems that it was placed several years after Friedrich Wilhelm's death, most likely by his son Guillermo who is also buried there.
Friedrich Wilhelm Guggisberg was born out of wedlock, but the tombstone incorrectly says "Guggisberg Teer". His mother's name was Rosina Guggisberg who had a second son born out of wedlock, Rudolf Guggisberg. I knew the only son of Rudolf who was also named Rudolf and to my knowledge is still alive living in the town of Reinach, Switzerland.
