|Barbara Haines||FG No. 32329979 Ann Hoo Boleyn|
You have added an image to this memorial which depicts Anny Boleyn, the wife of King Henry VIII. However, this is not her memorial.
This memorial is for Anne, the only daughter of Thomas Hoo, 1st Baron of Hoo & Hastings, who married Sir Geoffrey Boleyn, Mayor of London. Anne and Geoffrey are the GREAT-GRANDPARENTS of the Anne Boleyn who married Henry VIII.
Thanks for removing this erroneous information from this memorial.
|Barbara Haines||FG No. 32330811, Sir Geoffrey Boleyn II|
You have posted an image on Sir Geoffrey's memorial which isn't a representation of Sir Geoffrey, but of his grandson, Thomas Boleyn, the 1st Earl of Wiltshire (1477-1539).
While Thomas Boleyn was the father of the Anne Boleyn who married Henry VIII, they lived much later, as his courtly Tudor style of dress indicates. The portrait which you used was painted by Hans Holbein who, along with his son, created portraits of nearly every worthy person in the court of Henry VIII.
You can see the original artwork in color here:
Sir Geoffrey was the father of an Anne Boleyn, but his daughter married Sir Henry Heydon, not Henry VIII. His first wife was also named Anne, but her father was Thomas Hoo, Baron of Hoo & Hastings.
You can see the pedigree of the Boleyn family here:
Thanks for removing the erroneous information from this memorial.
|Gena Hall||Carolyn Norrid|
I saw your post on Carolyn Norrid, born 10/31/1950. Other than the birthday and the name of her parents, all other information was incorrect.
