|David Joe Casey||Caasey Family Linage|
Hi Cheryl, my name is David Joe Casey. I came across your name where you were respondind to a message at the "Find A Grave" website. I appears we are closely related. Uriah
(Buck) Casey is my great grandfather. Wesley Byron (Bye) Casey (son of Uriah (Buck) Casey) is my great uncle. My grandfather, Jimmy Lee ( Jim ) Casey was the youngest of the children of Uriah (Buck) Casey. When Uriah passed away, my grandfather was still living at home on the old family homestead and remained there taking care of his mother. My father, David Uriah Casey is Jimmy Lees (Jim)
Casey's oldest son. I have a lot of info and a lot of old family stories passed down through the family. My email address is
firstname.lastname@example.org looking forward to hearing from you.
David J. Casey

I'm glad you found CFA. I wish I had found it sooner. I discovered CFA in October 2000, I think, after they held a reunion in June of that year in Springfield, Missouri where I live most of the year. They toured some of the Casey cabins. I am so sorry I missed that. I have visited the one at Silver Dollar City many times but would not have known that it was a Casey cabin because the sign designates it at the McHaffie cabin, which was the name of the descendant to donated it to Silver Dollar city when the lake, which would have covered it was in the planning stages.
Apparently Robert Casey and some of the early researchers now question who Polly's husband is. Thankfully, YDNA research has shown a close link between your line and mine.

Thank you for sharing your line!
|Eileen Illum||RE: Mary Polly Wayne Casey|
You are welcome! I am delighted to hear from another Casey cousin. I live in Marion County, Arkansas during the summer. My line is Eileen Steed Illum >Esma Larue Langford Steed >John Carrol Langford >Mary Frances Casey Langford >Alfred Casey >John Casey >Ambler Casey >Jesse Casey >Polly Unknown Maiden Name Casey.
It was thought that her maiden name was Wayne, but that has recently been questioned by the most expert Casey researchers. I was delighted to find Polly's grave in the Buffalo Cemetery when I visited it with another Casey cousin, Susan Smith Christiansen, several years ago. This year, I attended Decoration Day there in May and met another of our cousins, Betty Thomas Gravitt. I also met one in Lead Hill, Arkansas in May.
Where do you live? Could you please sent me your line back to Polly Casey?

I have gathered some info on them. Also a lot of info on her descendants. You are my 3rd cousin once removed.
Contact me thru e-mail. Much easier to exchange info.

Cheryl, I would be happy to transfer Mary Woody's memorial to you. However I believe we have the same paper regarding family history. My great grandmother was Margaret Luellen Woody Proctor. I suppose this means we are cousins.
